100 Years of the Poppy…

The Remembrance Poppy holds a significant milestone this year.

The symbol of the fallen during the First World War, the poppy has become an iconic symbol of Remembrance for 100 years.

Inspired by the poem, “In Flanders Fields” by Canadian physician, Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae, the Poppy was adopted as Canada’s tribute to the fallen war heroes in 1921.
