A member of the High Prairie RCMP was in the right place to help with a fire.
The officer, who was not named, was parked in the area of 47 Street and 52 Avenue when a nearby home burst into flames.
This happened on Thursday at around 4:30 PM.
The officer notified the fire department and then able to evacuate the two occupants of the home, as well as those in nearby homes.
The High Prairie Volunteer Fire Department managed to extinguish the fire, and no one was injured.
According to the detachment, the fire was not considered suspicious.
