As river activity picks up on the Heart River, the Town of Peace River is reminding the public that the 12 Foot Davis Events Park which sits along the Heart is closed, and to now stay away from the area until further notice as water is likely to enter the park.
At this time (Afternoon of April 23) officials are on site keeping traffic away, and the area is blocked off.
The public is also advised to avoid all riverbanks while break up is occurring.
