Mental Health maybe a factor in Spring Season Farming (Merle Massie)

Some worries may be surfacing in the Agriculture sector in the Northwest, and that has Mental Health organizations stepping up and saying that they would like to help.

The Do More Ag. Foundation is one of those organizations willing to come forward to offer support.

With the abundance of snow, and the slow melting process happening in the Northwest, Farmer and Producers are worried that the delay is processing and planting is going to start late, which may not produce the best yield.

The Foundation is saying that scenario may happen, but supports are present for the farmers, and their families, to help deal with the issues that are definitely different in 2026.

The Foundation is putting forward Applications for the Talk, Ask, Listen workshops, that did appear in the Peace Region last year, and were proven to be successful.

While stipulations do apply, the 2026 Community Fund is accepting requests for the workshop to be in the neighborhood at points during the current campaign, so producers can feel more at ease with Mother Nature’s current weather patterns.

The Executive Director of the Do More Ag. Foundation, is Merle Massie.

Applications are being accepted until the end of April. They can be found on the Do More Ag. Foundation website
