The province’s Fair Deal Panel will be in Peace River on February 18.

The forum will be hosted by Peace River MLA, Dan Williams, as well as Central Peace-Notley MLA, Todd Loewen.

Loewen was part of a delegation, led by Premier Jason Kenney that met with the federal government last year to discuss what a fair deal would look like in the eyes of Albertans.

“It was great to have the opportunity to visit Ottawa and the people there,” says Loewen. “Hopefully we can get some minds changed and get things back on track.”

Loewen adds that he is hopeful to hear from as many Peace Region residents as possible.

“Hopefully everyone will be able to come and say what they think,” suggests Loewen.

“There are lots of different ideas on what we can do floating around Alberta and what people would like to see for the future of Alberta going forward in Canadian federation.”

The Fair Deal Panel forum will be at the Peace Valley Inns and starts at 7:00 pm.
