There have been so many superhero movies lately with the rise of marvel movies. Just the other day the new Thor movie got a new trailer. I personally have no complaints I watch most of these and enjoy a lot of them but it got me thinking about a question.
What is the very best kind of superhero movie? Is it one that involves superheroes like your classic Superman? Is it ones that focus on supervillains like the Joker movie that came out? Is it ones that focus on Anti-heroes like Deadpool? Just ones that focus on normal people? I asked this question over on our Instagram story and the answers surprised me.
On Kix…whoa! 40% said that the supervillain movies were the best I mean I did enjoy the Joker movie but I think a bunch of villain movies would just be too dark for me. 30% said anti-heroes which, ok, now I can start getting behind this, you know, because although anti-heroes may not be the best people they usually end up doing the right thing… by any means necessary. Alright, I really don’t know why 20% of people’s favorite superhero movies are just with normal people but hey, good for you. Only 10% of people like superheroes in their superhero movies. Honestly, this seems a little backward to me but let’s see what people said in River Country said.
50% of people liked anti-heroes who are dark but I can get behind this. so, ok, then 33% of people are coming in here with the answer of normal people…guys, what are we doing here. Only 17% of people liked actual superheroes in their movies.
So, what can I extrapolate from this data well first off everyone here likes anti-heroes which honestly is a really good answer they aren’t afraid to make the tough decision to get the job done. Another thing I learned is that if I film a movie about myself wearing a costume it might make millions because a lot more people than I thought to enjoy movies with normal people.
