Tenille Townes To Play Junos in March

When the Juno Awards come to Rogers Place in Edmonton on March 13th it has been announced that their will be some local representation as Tenille Townes is set to hit the stage. The Juno Awards typically haven’t had too many country music performers in recent memory so to have Grande Prairie girl Tenille  Townes represent and hitting the stage is a welcome thing. Tenille in posting the announcement said “The last time the Junos were in Edmonton I watched sitting in the nosebleeds so this is very exciting”

The 28 year old year old who has 2 #1 singles under her belt and in the last 5 years only one song not crack the top 10. Tenille’s current single “The Last Time” sits at #5 on the Canadian country music charts and can be heard right here on River Country.

The award show will be on CBC March 13th with Nickelback being honored and performing as well.
