Aw Man! I was so ready to get out in the cruiser and head out to these events. The first one on the docket was Cars and Pancakes, and you guessed it, there were cars and pancakes there. I’ll start by saying that the pancakes were super delicious you can tell by my picture.

There were also the amazing cars on display. The Peace River performance club is a fairly new organization dedicated to safe fun enthusiasm toward performance vehicles. In partnership with the Belle Petroleum Centre, they put on a really great show. There were a lot of people coming out and taking a look at these vehicles. When I’m not driving the cruiser I’m just driving a pick-up truck which is nothing cpompared to what was on display here.

Pursuing wasn’t all that happened. they also handed out awards to the best vehicles and had a rev-off competition. This was the first one of these that I had ever witnessed but I was able to hear the commentary of some experienced pros so, let’s just say some did better than others.

After that, we had planned to go to another event but sadly it ended up getting canceled. That wasn’t a big problem though because that just meant that I got to go to the Peace River Powwow early. it was about lunchtime so I decided to grab some food. They had a wide variety of food trucks and vendors selling different things. The thing I had my eye set on was a bannock burger. So, after waiting in line for half an hour I got to the till and…they told me they were out of bannock. Now, although it is not exactly what I wanted, I got hamburger poutine, because poutine is good any day, and because I was still hungry.

The Powwow itself was amazing this was my first one so I didn’t quite know what to expect but it was so much fun. They had traditional singing and dancing and it was overall a super fun time. I was able to see the little ones go up and do some dancing and it was absolutely adorable. I would definitely check out another one.

That was my cruiser day for June 4th. A super fun time getting to travel to a bunch of awesome local events would definitely do it again…oh wait I am, next weekend I’ll be at even more awesome events, and if you want to see me at any specific events, email me the info at cruiser@kix.fm
