Summer Cruiser July 1st: Canada Day!

Canada Day was awesome! There were so many events happening around the region the studio had to tag team to cover them all. We had some of us staying in Peace River for the events happening locally and since I had the summer events cruiser I was out and about to a couple different locations. The first stop was Grimshaw for their Canada Day Parade. there were a lot of cool floats and candy getting tossed around. It was great getting to see the kids running around and having fun trying to get the most candy.

After the parade everyone met at the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex for the follow-up festivities. There were bouncy castles and games for the kids. As well as an outdoor market. A couple of food trucks were there which is where I grabbed lunch and had a burger with potato chips in it… it was surprisingly really good.

After Grimshaw, I drove the cruiser down to manning for their fun celebrations. Earlier in the day they had a town-wide water fight which I sadly missed. I did make it in time for the follow-up games and BBQ which was really tasty! They also had a pool, bouncy castle and since it was at the fire station, water games. I also had to grab a picture of all the tattoos they were giving out.

That was my time cruising! A super fun time getting to travel to a bunch of awesome local events, would definitely do it again…oh wait I am, next week I’ll be at even more awesome events, and if you want to see me at any specific events, email me the info at cruiser@kix.fm or cruiser@rivercountry.fm
