It has now been announced that the new upcoming season of Canada’s Got Talent will see some changes at the judges table for the show beginning to air in Spring 2025. The legendary singer from Timmins, ON Shania Twain will be joining the panel along with Toronto born and raised, though UK based comedian Katherine Ryan.
Shania said in the announcement “Canada! I’m really excited to discover the amazing talent you have to share.” “Canada is well known for having high calibre creative people and it’s my honour to sit back and see you at your best. Let’s go my fellow Canadians!”
One must wonder if Lindsay Ell whispered something into Shania’s ear, as she opened for the Shania on her Queen of Me tour for numerous Canadian dates as well as appeared in her band during during part of Shania’s Las Vegas residency. Ell has been the host of the Canada’s Got Talent since the relaunch was announced in fall 2021.
Nothing stated about who would be getting the axe for the two newcomers on the show. Many speculate Lily Singh is one of them to make room for Katherine Ryan, but nothing official has been said from I can find.
I know we will all be waiting with baited breathe for the “That Don’t Impress Me Much” jokes to be made or the quote to come out of the legends mouth.
