This weekends headliner on Rising Stars was Edmonton singer-songwriter Taylor Rae. Taylor currently resides in Nashville but tends to still spend quite a bit of time up north, whether performing or visiting family. Taylor is a rising talent garnering BC Country music awards, as despite her Edmonton roots, she attended school and began her career in beautiful BC.
Taylor new single “Drunk Plans” is the 2nd off her upcoming EP, and Taylor describes it as: “As a serial planner, I am constantly making brunch plans, hike, plans, marriage plans – the list goes on. But one thing you need to know about me is if I am making a plan about an 8 AM hike after 1 AM the night before you can bet that’s an empty one. This song is all about empty plans and being self-aware enough to admit it.”
