This weekend on River Country Rising Stars the headliner was Justin Hogg and his new single “Picture Perfect.” Justin is resuming to releasing new music following a few years away dating back to pre-pandemic as the creativity just wasn’t there and he wasn’t happy with the results. Justin is someone that before the pandemic was certainly gaining traction and is gaining it back after being one of the 3 winners to perform at the MDM/Willing CCMA Party.
“Picture Perfect” as mentioned above is Justin’s first release in 3 years and it’s a great reintroduction back to scene and introduction to those who are new to Justin Hogg. The song has been described as is an upbeat song about loves influence on what it means to picture perfect. With a blend of edgy guitar tone and dobro licks throughout the song, the dynamic production and vocal melody will have you humming along to the hook long after the song is over. His songwriting ability once again proves to be clever while not being over thought, and Justin bring’s a vocal tone that is unique and identifiable in modern country music.
