This weekends Headliner for Rising Stars is Hailey Benedict. Hailey is from St. Albert and has had an amazing journey to this point in her career including an impromptu performance on stage with Keith Urban as a 9th grader. She has already taken home a CCMA for Interactive Artist Of The Year and was nominated for Rising Star last year. Hailey is currently up for Innovative Campaign of the Year at the CCMA’s on September 16th as well as one of 3 finalists in the Top of the Country contest that could net her $25,000. In her home province of Alberta she has some hardware being named 2022 Country Music Alberta Horizon Female Artist of the Year, and this past CMAB Awards was named 2023 Country Music Alberta Songwriter Of The Year and 2023 Country Music Alberta Video Of The Year for Wanted You To.
She is a shooting star and happy she took the time to chat about her career and her latest single “Damn You July,” which I foolishly kept calling “Damn July” I guess I wasn’t happy about July this year.
