We have had not 1 but 2 oilers collabs now.
This all started during the playoffs when McDonald’s put out a challenge to the oilers saying that if they brought home the Stanley cup they would rename McDonald’s McDavid. Now sadly it didn’t happen. McDavid however didn’t give up and came in clutch during the 4 Nations Face-Off finale bringing home the win for Canada. McDonald’s decided this was close enough and still decided to rename a McDonalds in Edmonton (as well as in McDavid’s hometown) to McDavid’s.
I think it’s such a fun idea and I love when interesting collaborations like this happen. It turns out that Canada wasn’t done with collabs, as Pizza 73 has now collaborated with Stuart Skinner. They have changed their name to Pizza 74 in honour of his number and are even offering a special meal deal.
I wonder who will get the next collab…and with which restaurant?
