There are two kinds of people in this world. Those that have mac and cheese with bread crumbs, and those that do not. When my mom made homemade mac and cheese she would sprinkle breadcrumbs on top and it really enhanced the taste. The nice crunchy seasoned breadcrumbs on top of the usually soft and squishy mac and cheese are a welcome duo. At least I thought…
I was telling this to a friend of mine and he said “Jared…That is ludicrous! Bread crumbs on mac and cheese is a heinous crime against the culinary arts!”…ok I might be paraphrasing there a bit. Basically, he didn’t think the two should go together instead of opting for a fully squishy mac and cheese experience. When I come to an impasse I think it best to ask the masses. So, let’s see how it turned out.
In River Country, it was a close race with breadcrumbs taking 44% of the vote and sadly no breadcrumbs took 56% of the vote… well maybe it was better on KIX FM…It wasn’t. On KIX FM 64% of the vote went to no breadcrumbs and 36% of the vote went toward breadcrumbs.
So turns out everyone just loves some plain mac and cheese…or at least not crunchy…although I think that it is still better with breadcrumbs sometimes a plain bowl of mac and cheese can just hit the spot!
