Country Music Alberta Awards announced their nominations for the 12th annual awards in April, taking place in Calgary. They announced them in a Facebook Video last night with some notable names like Tenille Townes, Brett Kissel and High Valley getting nominations. The great thing about the Country Music Alberta Awards are they recognized the big names like mentioned above as well as the up and coming/emerging artists under the Horizon awards. It is cool to see some artists I know get nominations. There are some artists from around the region who are nominated like Tenille Townes (Grande Prairie), High Valley (Le Crete) and Duane Steele (Hines Creek).
