Saturday night marked the 2024 CCMA Awards as they took place in Edmonton, with the televised awards being awarded at Rogers Place and the more industry type awards being handed out at the Gala event. The biggest winner was Josh Ross with all 5 awards he was up for as he continues his climb towards the top of the Canadian country music scene, while beginning to pick up some traction in the US as an opener on various high profile tours. Host MacKenzie Porter took home 1 of her 6 nominations marking her first solo award win in 28 nominations, while up and comer Owen Riegling won 2 of his 4 nominations. The saw k.d land reunite with the he her old band The Reclines for the first time in 35 years.
