Over the weekend I got to attend my first Airshow and it was quite a great experience! Along, with seeing such wonderful displays I also learned a lot about the planes themselves. One such being the Canso. This plane had quite a history. It started as a submarine hunter in WWII. Then it became a freight hauler getting things to remote locations due to its ability to land in the water. It was then used to fight fires and was abandoned until it was picked up by a group of people and restored. it’s now being shown off in airshows and other great events. I got to talk with the pilots and some of the people who helped restore the plane to learn more about it and you can listen below!
