The Peace Regional SPCA has reached a major milestone in plans for its new facility, announcing that the blueprints for the building are now officially complete.
The project has been years in the making, involving extensive planning and a number of delays along the way. With the design phase finalized, the organization has now moved into the permitting stage and is preparing to begin the Request for Proposal (RFP) process to advance construction.
The new building will be constructed on the site of the SPCA’s former facility on the east side of the river near River Road in Peace River. In the meantime, the Peace Regional SPCA continues to operate out of its temporary location on the West Hill.
The organization expressed appreciation to supporters and community members for their patience and continued support, noting that the completion of the blueprints represents an important step toward bringing the long-standing vision for a new facility closer to reality.
