This weekend on River Country Rising Stars the headliner was Jac Matthew and her new single “Harder To Hold” !!! Jac is a newer artist with this being her 2nd single and in 1 week the single has amassed 100k streams on Spotify alone, let alone other DSPs. Jac is Alberta born and BC raised being in Delta, BC these days and is coming out the gate strong with her music. Her debut single “Wild Things” on Spotify has over 333k streams and that single is only 3 months old. Jac grew up playing the violin and is trying to find ways to incorporate it into her performances, as with one of her young children learning the instrument muscle memory apparently applies to violin as she is back in the swing of things.
Jac’s second single “Harder To Hold” is one she wrote herself and was produced by Garrett Ward and Dan Botch better known as The Renaissance, two of the best music producers in Canada known for producing many hits. The song is one that is based on Jac’s real life experiences and is one you need to hear.
