This weekend on River Country Rising Stars the headliner was Becca Hess and her new single “Reno.” Becca is a BCCMA award winning Nashville recording artist and songwriter Becca Hess is rooted in a country music legacy but her sound is all her own. Becca’s father is a country artist so she got the experience of growing up around it seeing the effort needed to pursue it as a career and entered the industry with no misconceptions of it.
The song “Reno” comes from the price tag that goes along with a trip to Vegas and Reno being more affordable. The song has been described as a fun-filled stylistic drive through 90s country, delivering an energetic festival season bop that feels like cruising through the desert in a convertible with your best friends and a Jo Dee Messina cassette on blast.
