Yesterday as is tradition the Dallas Cowboys have had a major star play a halftime show, sponsored by the Salvation Army, during the Thanksgiving Day game. The star announced for this year was Lainey Wilson who is the biggest chart female singer in country music the past few years, and is one of the biggest names.
Lainey would go out and perform for 6-7 minutes a medley of her some of her hits, starting off with “Heart Like A Truck” and concluding with “Wild Flowers and Wildhorses.” In between included the “Hang Tight Honey,” her current radio single “4x4xU” and “Save Me” for which a special appearance by Jelly Roll took place.
Some fans absolutely loved it, calling for Lainey to perform at a Super Bowl halftime show, while others were not fans of it. I mean you can’t please everyone, but I feel overall the results were positive in nature.
I will say I wish it was longer like the Super Bowl halftime show, so we could get more of each song, but its Thanksgiving not the Super Bowl.
