Protect the hive.

I thought this was a great action movie with a really good message. Don’t Scam People…especially the elderly.

Initially, I thought this would be a fairly generic Jason Stathom action film…and I guess technically it was…but I liked it. We follow Adam Clay who is a retired member of the classified organization known as the Beekepers. They are the best of the best at what they do. They can take down whoever they want and are supposed to uphold peace in society. Although, since he is retired he has decided to uphold justice in his own way.

A kind old lady was renting him space and caring for him while he was retired. she had spent her life as a teacher and helping others but when she gets scammed and all of her money taken from her she commits suicide leading Adam Clay on a quest for revenge against the scammers that ruined her life. I haven’t seen a plot where they just decide to take down a bunch of cyber scammers and tech bros but it was really fun to see.

This is an action film, so, explosions and fights are par for the course here. It was all well done, the only thing that sticks out is near the end there is a fight where he finally has a decent opponent. This led to an interesting struggle between the two. Also, everywhere he goes he blows stuff up so your explosion quota will be filled here.

This movie made me laugh more than I was expecting it to. Since Adam Clay is the best at what he does it’s really fun to see him just show up and take everyone down. There is one scene where the whole military squad is planning out how to get him. So, he walks up and tells them he’s going in the front door because there is no other way. Takes them all down. and does exactly that.

Overall if you’re looking for a fun action flick I would recommend this one. It was fun to see scammers get what they deserve and it felt refreshing instead of gangs or underground criminals this was more of a modern-day problem that was tackled…well still with violence…but fun to watch.
