Tenille Townes Makes History and Eagleson Wins Big At CCMAs

Tenille Townes would make history Saturday night when she took home one of her 3 awards. Tenille would win Country Music Program or Special of the Year for Christmas Time with Tenille Townes 2022, as well as songwriter(s) of the year alongside Bryan Adams, Daniel Tashian and Kate York for “That Thing That Wrecks You” but would make history when she took home her 5th straight Female Artist of the Year award. When she took home the Female Artist of the Year it would be a record 5th constitutive win in that category breaking the tie with the legendary Michelle Wright, and currently sits tied with Michelle for the most Female Artist of the Year wins at 5.

The other major winner was Jade Eagleson when he took home 3 awards which were Innovative Campaign of the Year for Jade Eagleson – “She Don’t Know” Wedding Contest, and taking home 2 of the biggest awards with Male Artist of the Year and the coveted Entertainer of the Year Award.

Notable winners were Josh Ross who took home Breakthrough Artist, James Barker Band taking home the Group/Duo of the Year as well as the prestigious Fans Choice. Lindsay Ell would win her first televised award for her single “Right On Time” which led to Lindsay shredding tears and shaking as she was emotionally worked up given the biggest win of her career. Peace Region’s own High Valley would share the award for Musical Collaboration of the Year for “Do This Life” with Alison Krauss in a tie with Dallas Smith and MacKenzie Porter’s “One Too.”
