For this weekends Rising Stars I spoke with Drew Gregory. Drew is from Standard, AB who I have gotten to see a few times now once back in Calgary with more of an acoustic set and the other opening for Lindsay Ell at the Grande Prairie Stompede, where he also opened for Jade Eagleson. Drew is a fixture in the country music scene in Alberta and recently signed a deal with Willing Records, the label started by Bobby Wills. He recently put out a new one to radio called “Neon Time.” We discussed the single, signing with Bobby’s label as well as keeping his pandemic look going after having a more clean cut appearance.
