  5. Alberta’s former deputy premier, Thomas Lukasuk, is accusing the UCP government of preventing the “Forever Canadian” petition from being voted on in the legislature.

  6. Alberta’s Premier is not ruling out using her authority to approve a provincial separation vote this October, a move independence leaders are now openly urging her to make.
Danielle Smith offered no assurance yesterday when asked directly whether she would commit to not calling such a vote.
  7. Golf Courses are continuing to open up in the Northwest, just in time for the May Long weekend.
Peace River, High Prairie, McLennan, and Fairview, all have their courses fully, or partially open.
Eaglesham, Manning, High Level, Guy, Hines Creek and La Crete will be having their facilities open soon.
  8. NHL playoffs tonight… Buffalo is in Montreal, and Anaheim is in Las Vegas.
  9. The Toronto Blue Jays continue their three-game set against Tampa tonight at Rogers Centre.
