Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Week was another major success across the Peace and Mackenzie Regions, raising thousands of dollars for local charities and community organizations.
In High Level, $26,178 was raised for the Northwest Health Foundation, while Peace River collected $32,653 benefiting the Peace River Rotaract Club. High Prairie raised $16,731 for the Big Lakes Animal Care Facility.
Fairview customers helped raise $16,075 for Ignite Youth Support, while Valleyview brought in $9,546 for Rural Roots Childcare (Valleyview and District Early Learning and Childcare Centre Society).
Nationally, Tim Hortons says this year’s Smile Cookie campaign was record breaking, raising more than $23.3 million in support of nearly 700 local charities and community groups across Canada.
The annual campaign ran from April 27 to May 3, with customers purchasing special chocolate chunk Smile Cookies for $2 each. 100% of proceeds stayed local.
