Lesser Slave Lake MLA Scott Sinclair says he’s grateful to be back in the United Conservative Caucus after reflecting on past public criticism of Premier Danielle Smith and the Alberta government.
In a statement today, Sinclair says representing the people of Lesser Slave Lake remains “one of the greatest honours” of his life and acknowledged that passion and emotion influenced some of his public comments, especially around the provincial budget.
Sinclair says while holding government accountable is important, he was elected as part of the United Conservative team and now believes disagreements could have been handled differently.
He adds he’ll continue advocating for constituents but says he can best serve the riding by working within a strong government team. Sinclair calls his return to caucus “an exciting day” for Lesser Slave Lake and says he’s ready to get back to work for Albertans.
