  1. The flood warning on the East and West Prairie Rivers has now been downgraded to a high streamflow advisory.
    Meanwhile, the Ice Advisory continues for the Peace River, between the Hwy 986 Bridge, north of town, to the Notikewin River.
  2. The case of the two accused in the “In the Woods Animal Rescue” arrests are proceeding in court.
    Sheryl Woods and Cheryl Bastien are to attend Pre-trial conferences in Grande Prairie this afternoon.
  3. Simard Butchers in Falher is clearing the air, after a facebook post from them, was promoting an “AI Burger” with advanced food technology, on April 1st.
    The April Fools post was intended as a light-hearted joke, and while some caught onto the humour, others didn’t understand, and raised a beef.
  4. The Battle River Ag. Society has received $10,000 for finishing second in the Growing Home with BASF promotion.
    Officials are saying the money is going towards upgrades to accessibility to the Grounds, and the Hall.

    Some teams, especially from Europe, said they could lose money, unless they went deep into the knockout rounds.
    Teams playing in the USA also face taxes, that are exempted in Canada and Mexico.

    Clear and spring-like conditions are continuing into the weekend, and next week, with temps pushing 20 by the weekend.
