Manning RCMP are investigating a potentially fraudulent investment operation in the town. Police say they first received a report on April 13 about a concerning business operating along 4 Avenue.
The investigation is being conducted in partnership with the Alberta Securities Commission, which has confirmed the company may be offering investment contracts and trading securities without proper registration.
An Investor Alert issued by the Commission earlier this year warned the public that the entity is not authorized to operate in Alberta and may show signs of a scam.
RCMP are now asking anyone who believes they may have been affected to come forward. Victims or those with information are urged to contact Manning RCMP as the investigation continues.
