The Town of Peace River has announced a sudden leadership change, confirming that Barbara Miller is no longer serving as Chief Administrative Officer, effective immediately.
In a statement, council thanked Miller for her contributions since joining the municipality in 2022 and wished her well in her future endeavours.
Stepping into the role on an interim basis is Kayla Parsons, who previously served as Manager of Legislative Services.
The Town says Parsons will help maintain continuity of operations while the search for a new permanent CAO gets underway.
Officials noted that, as the matter was discussed in a closed session, no further details will be released.
