Northern Lakes College is celebrating the successful completion of a new student residence at its High Prairie campus—an addition that’s already having a strong impact. The facility is nearly full, highlighting a clear demand for on-campus housing in the region.
The residence accommodates 26 students, with 12 shared units and two barrier-free units designed for accessibility and independent living. Each shared unit includes two beds, a desk, and wardrobes, giving students both personal space and a sense of community.
Students also have access to shared amenities like a common kitchen, laundry facilities, study areas, and a lounge space—features designed to support both academic success and everyday living.
College officials say the new residence helps reduce barriers for learners, especially those coming from rural and remote communities. By providing safe, convenient housing, Northern Lakes College continues its commitment to improving access to post-secondary education across its service region.
