Back on Friday I got to talk briefly with Jackson Dean to discuss his smash hit “Heavens To Betsy,” touring with Brad Paisley as well as finding such success by 25.
It isn’t often you find an artist in their mid-20s with two top 10s and one just outside of it in a career, but for Jackson that is the success he has found. While his US chart success is better than his run in Canada, the current single sits at #8 and is pushing towards topping the charts in Canada for the first time ever to join his first #1 in the US.
Speaking with Jackson we discussed what is like to tour with an icon like Brad as well as what he refers to him as on tour. We looked at the fact it took a year for “Heavens To Betsy” to begin finding success at radio and is currently the #1 country song in his home country of the USA (was #3 at the time of the recording). We also talked about him finding so much success at a younger age and what can come with that.
