
The long running teen drama show Degrassi has been on the air for 40 years in a one shape or another (last series ending in 2017) and a new documentary will look back at those years. The documentary is called Degrassi: Whatever It Takes and is set to premier at the Toronto International Film Festival or TIFF on September 13th.
The documentary will feature past stars including Drake, Amanda Stepto, Stefan Brogren, Shenae Grimes-Beech, Jake Epstein, Miriam McDonald and more appear to look back at the show and it’s impact.
Mighty Ducks and Dawson Creek star Joshua Jackson, a Canadian actor, in the trailer can be heard saying, “When people talk about my old show, on Dawson’s, or they talk about Beverly Hills, 90210, they don’t know that the big grandaddy is Degrassi.”
As someone who has never seen an episode of the long running Canadian franchise it will be interesting to see when it becomes available on a streaming platform. For fans of the series you can see the trailer for the documentary below:
