The other day I got the chance to speak with 2x CCMA Female Artist of the Year Meghan Patrick or Meghan F’N Patrick as she at times is known as. This is someone I wanted to interview for years, so safe to say I jumped at the chance to talk with her and boy was there a lot to talk about. Whether it is the 3 awards she is up for at the upcoming CCMAs in a few weeks in Kelowna, her being announced as an opener for Brad Paisley in November and December in Canada or her new single “Stoned Again” which is up for a CCMA . Oh and for good measure a little NFL football.
Meghan discusses the feeling of being nominated, the docuseries that got her one of her 3 nominations this year (can be watched HERE), as well as becoming an independent artist again. We dived into getting the chance to open for the iconic, no wait legendary Brad Paisley later in the fall, and what inspired the new single “Stoned Again.” We discussed the choice to put it to country radio, a space where you don’t hear a lot of songs about cannabis. Meghan, being a proud member of the Bills Mafia, I had to get her outlook on the Bills for the season which is getting ready to start next week, where the Bills are contenders.
