In the inaugural episode of River Country I spoke with Shantaia Poulin aka Shantaia. I met Shantaia at a singer songwriter event during Canadian Country Music Week in London, ON in the lead up to the 2021 CCMA’s. Shantaia, who resides in Nashville but from Saskatchewan originally has had a top 40 hit with “Broke To Brand New” on Canadian radio and was last year a finalist for Top of Country against Sacha and Josh Ross. This year she released her first album “Exes and Friends” which included the new single “Damaged Goods.”
I caught up with Shantaia to talk about the new single and her success over the past year. Here is that conversation:
