Wine Wednesday | Vina Honda Rose

wine-20

vino rosado por favor?

After a trip to Italy last week, we slid over to Spain for a glass of Vina Honda Rose.

The wine comes to us from winemaker Silvano Garcia, who is the youngest winemaker in the region.  He is the third generation in a family owned operation that was established back in 1925.
“In my case what I consider important is not what happens in the winery but the raw material that reaches it from the vine. It is essential to [have] healthy fruit at its optimal level of maturity and [from] this [it] is difficult to get a bad wine.”

The Rose in this variety has a fruity and yet balanced taste.  It leans towards the dry side, but remains soft and smooth.

When looking at the ratings online, this wine lands in the top third for that area of Spain.

Grab “una botella” today at Barrel Wine ‘n’ Spirits! Don’t forget that on Wednesday you get 10% off wine 🙂
