This week we’re supporting the Ukraine.
We selected a wine from Tavria, a company in the Ukraine that specializes in Brandy, Cognacs, and fine wines.
The Naomi Pomegranate reminded us a lot of Brandy.
So much so, that I doubled up and poured some on a slice of Black Forest Cake.
Wow was it good!
It made the quick trek to Co-op before closing time worth it. Thankfully they had the cake I needed!
It’s definitely on the sweet side, so the recommendation is to enjoy it as a dessert wine.
Pair it with pastries, fruits, sweet desserts… and chocolate cake!
They also recommend it with ice. The prettier half and I enjoyed it chilled, so I’d agree with that recommendation.
