Smoky conditions are blanketing Northwestern Alberta with many fires happening.
The latest numbers from Alberta Wildfire says that there’s 56 fires currently burning across the province, half of them being classified as “out of control”.
Of those “out of control” fires, 2 are in the High Level Forest Area, 5 in the Peace River Forest Area and the Slave Lake Forest Area is seeing the most action with 13.
Wildfires in Alberta this year have burned over 400,000 hectares.
