Officials are marking the end of Wildfire season today, but the work is not done.
Wildfire season has ended, as of today, but officials are now turning attention to Winter Burns and mop-up work from this year’s season.
Crews dealt with nearly 1,200 fires across the province in 2024, with the bulk of them being in the Peace and Mackenzie regions.
