A 62-year-old male and a 47-year-old female were found dead after a house fire.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, the High Level RCMP and Fire Department got a call of a property burning on the Paddle Prairie Metis Settlement.
Based on information provided to police by a witness, it was determined that the fire was suspicious.
The suspect, 42-year-old Dallas Cardinal of Paddle Prairie, was found at a nearby residence and air-lifted to a hospital.
Cardinal is facing two counts of criminal negligence causing death, and one count of criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
There is no word on the severity of his injuries, but he is scheduled to be in court on Monday.
