Alberta Health Services is looking for volunteers to join the True North Health Advisory Council. The True North HAC includes communities around the High Level region and membership includes the opportunity to provide a local insight on healthcare services over a three-year term.

AHS HAC’s consist of 15 members that are; passionate about healthcare, big picture thinkers and eager to engage within their communities to learn what health services are working well and where improvement can be made.

Maura Beaton of AHS says the councils meet up with AHS’ Board of Directors up to four times per year with AHS zone and provincial leadership. Beaton says “we’re really looking for diversity of the geographic area they represent. The more connections to the community informal or official, the better.”

If you are over the age of 18 and interested in participating in dialogue with AHS that will lead to creative solutions to healthcare services across Alberta, you can apply to volunteer by emailing: community.engagement@ahs.ca or by clicking here.

Deadline for submissions are October 12.
