Town of High Level wants input from residents on a mandatory mask bylaw

The Town of High Level is consulting with the public on how to proceed with a face coverings bylaw.

The town released a five-question survey, including if you would support a bylaw that would make face coverings mandatory in local businesses and public spaces to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Town Council debated the issue at a special meeting on August 4 after the discussion was requested by residents.

In a media release, town officials stated that they would like surveys to be filled out before the council meeting on August 24 at 7:00 PM.

At this time, High Level is following the recommendations of Alberta Health Services, which strongly encourages the use of masks, but does not mandate them.

You can find a link to the survey here.
