- Police and authorities around the region have been busy dealing with homeless and encampments during the past few months.
Police is Slave Lake, and in Peace River have dealt with numerous situations, and conducted patrols ensuring safety, as well as checking for warrants and stolen property. - The region is celebrating equality and diversity this week, and month. Pride week is happening with the LGBTQS2+ community.
Officials are quite content with the residents stepping up with support, even if not part of the LGBTQS2+ community. (Victoria Champion Interview on App) - Northwestern Polytechnic has announced two new diplomas through the School of Applied Science and Technology as it continues to localize education in the region.
Students are now able to pursue diplomas in University Arts or University Biological Sciences at the Grande Prairie campus. - Premier Danielle Smith says the decision to shuffle the Canadian Energy Centre into the department of Intergovernmental Relations, will help its goals.
The government says the organization will “continue to increase the public’s understanding of the role oil and gas plays globally in a secure energy future,”. - McDonald’s is lovin’ the Edmonton Oilers’ Stanley Cup run as they created some incentive online for McDavid and the boys.
