Subway Athlete Of The Month – Connor Bak

connor-bak

Our Subway Athlete of the Month for January is Connor Bak.

He’s a hockey player from Grimshaw who plays for the North Peace Navigators of the NWJHL.

Bak has scored 11 goals in 22 games for the Navs this season, he says he tries to keep a positive attitude in the dressing room.

“We had a pretty big win against Fairview in our third to last game, but then there was that tough weekend against Fort St. John. Hopefully we’ll come back after the break and win a couple and get on a roll.”

The Navs have a young team this season and Bak is one of the youngest players on the roster, but he says he gets along well with the other young players.

“I feel like they know where I’m coming from being young and it’s pretty nice when some of the older guys are there for whatever you need and always there to help out.”

The Navs will come out of the holiday break with road games in Sexsmith and Grande Prairie on January 7 and 8.

Their next home game at the Baytex Energy Centre will be on January 9 against the Dawson Creek Kodiaks.

Congratulations Connor and best of luck the rest of the season.
