Street Performers Festival Not Slowed Down by Rain

Anyone looking forward to the Grande Prairie International Street Performers Festival this year doesn’t have to worry about rain cancelling the event. Event spokesman Clyde Blackburn says the festival was ready for the risk of rain, and they’ve moved the event to the Dave Barr Arena.

This is the first time in 18 years the event was threatened with rain for the entire weekend, and organizers say they’re grateful to the City of Grande Prairie and the Dave Barr Arena for accommodating the event on such short notice.

Despite the event being relocated, you can expect to see everything that was planned for the downtown venue. The festival kicks off today at 4:30 P.M. and runs until 10 P.M.. Festivities continue tomorrow from 11 A.M. to 9 P.M. and Sunday from 11 A.M. to 6 P.M..
