It’s an event to bring awareness to the Peace Region.
The Sisters in Spirit Walks and ceremonies are happening this week.
The events are in Fairview, Valleyview and Peace River.
The walks are in honour of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
Wendy Goulet is with the Peace River Aboriginal Interagency, who coordinate all three walks.
She talks about steps being taken to bring awareness to the situation, the issue being more mainstream, and the similarities between this and Truth and Reconciliation Day, which was September 30.
