S & P For You And Me?

img-0497

You have probably been to a restaurant. And at every table…usually. There are salt and pepper shakers. I always found this weird because why would I need to season the food? I have worked in a kitchen before I know that they have salt and pepper back there. But the reason they have these out is for the customer to add their own salt and pepper to their food. I always found this concept weird because if the kitchen is making good food then you wouldn’t need to add your own salt and pepper…right? Well, that’s usually the case but I have in fact seen some people get food and then just pour salt on it before eating, which…I don’t even know where to begin with that. But I wanted to see if I was the only one who ate their food like this or if I am the weird one and everyone does it the other way so I asked everyone on Instagram and here are the results…

on KIX FM 83% of people are with me in saying that food should just be eaten as it is served. 17% of people said that they use a bit of both salt and pepper. Which surprised me. I thought that this number was going to be a lot bigger. I am glad to know though that my argument is not unfounded.

On River Country, 3% of people said that that food should be eaten as is but it also tied with people saying they season with both salt and pepper, this is more of the statistic that I was expecting. There was also 14% of people that came in saying that they added extra pepper to season their food.

Based on these results our KIX FM listeners like the food and the way that the chefs prepare it whereas our listeners in River Country prefer to add a little extra seasoning. Overall it kind of evened itself out, which is why, a lot of restaurants do offer these seasonings on their tables. So, if you ever had this question like me here is the answer for you. The more you know!

I like to ask a different question over on our Instagram story everyday I’m on.

You can answer today’s question here: on KIX FM or on RIVER COUNTRY
