The Restrictions Exemption Program Safety Training is available to employees of Alberta-based businesses and organizations who are implementing the REP and other COVID-19 safety requirements.

45 minutes is all it takes for the online training and is free of cost to employers and staff.

The training is being made available to help workers deal with challenging situations if they arise while implementing the REP.

Training includes information that workers need to keep themselves and customers safe while implementing COVID-19 safety requirements, such requesting proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test, physical distancing or masking.

Employers have to enrol on behalf of their employees, click here to enrol in the training program.

After enrolling, the employers will receive an access code through email to share with staff.

The program is delivered through ARETE Training, a Canadian-based provider of bullying, harassment, personal safety, de-escalation and violence prevention training.

On October 7, 2021, the provincial government announce $1 million in funding for safety training support for workers that are implementing the REP in their workplace.
