The human remains that were found near John D’or Prairie over the weekend were of a 15 year old girl who went missing a week earlier.
An autopsy done in Edmonton yesterday confirmed that the remains were those of Roderica Ribbonleg of the Little Red River Cree Nation.
According to Fort Vermilion RCMP, Ribbonleg was last seen on July 5 in the John D’or Prairie area.
The investigation into her death is still on-going.
